Retirement Plan Services
Working with qualified and non-qualified retirement plans is all we do. As such, we have developed a comprehensive set of services that are offered to our clients as a standard part of our service model. We take great pride in producing accurate and timely output and in providing all necessary plan services as part of our standard services.
At RPS, designing a retirement plan is about what’s right for the client, not what’s easiest or most convenient for us.
All too often, retirement plans are designed to accommodate the service provider’s operating model. At RPS, our approach is to understand why our clients sponsor their retirement plans. Once we understand the goals and objectives for a plan, our team of highly qualified retirement plan consultants work with our clients to design a plan to meet their goals and objectives. It doesn’t stop there. At least once a year, we sit down with our clients to review their goals and objectives, any new opportunities that have availed themselves or any regulatory or legislative issues that might need to be addressed.
RPS sponsors a pre-approved volume submitter document that we make available for use to our clients. As part of our document services, for those who choose to use our document, we prepare plan documents, resolutions, and Summary Plan Descriptions and ongoing amendments and restatements
We use our state-of-the-art recordkeeping system to provide plan participants and plan sponsors access to up to date account information on a daily basis through both our BenefitsNet website and our Benefits Hotline voice response system. Through this system we process contributions, distributions and most transfers on a daily basis.
ADP, ACP, 415, 410(b), 5500, etc., etc., etc Our clients hire us to understand the alphabet soup of the retirement plan industry and to assist them with ensuring their plans are maintained in a compliant manner. As part of our standard services, we offer an extensive compliance and government reporting package. Suffice to say, if it needs to be done, RPS will do it. While offering a comprehensive suite of compliance and government reporting services is important, having people who know how to interpret the results of tests and work within the regulations to get the best testing results is equally or more important. At RPS, we have these people. Employee Communications We all have the stuff (website with all the bells and whistles, voice response system, newsletters, gap analysis tools, calculators, custom enrollment kits, etc.) and while the stuff is necessary and important, we know from experience what matters more is the development of and execution of an education game plan. As such, each year, we work with our clients to understand their goals and objectives for participant behavior change and we develop an education game plan to help them affect this change. It’s our job to manage and execute the game plan on a pro-active basis and to report back on the results of this game-plan.
